The Hidden Gallery of Porters Lake

We just finished hosting our 8th Pop-Up Gallery this year at 26 Post Office Road on the beautiful Porter's Lake.  This location is currently closed for renovations and will re-open as a cafe in the next few months.  We will continue to exhibit and offer fine art and print from the cafe and look forward to hosting classes again in the near future. 

We will continue to host pop-up galleries, workshops, seminars, classes, and socials on a regular basis, so follow us on social media, as well as 'All Events', our online ticket platform, and sign up for our e-newsletter, where we will send the occasional email with news and updates regarding our future events.

Suitable for beginners and professional artists.
Whether this is your first time putting paint to the canvas, or whether you are a seasoned veteran of the arts, we welcome you to participate in this unique experience. We cater to each individual and encourage you to express what you are hoping to get out of eaach session, so that we can give you exactly what you came for.  If you are a beginner needing help with inspiration or how to get started in general, we can go over the process from start to finish.  If you are wanting a more advanced class, perhaps wanting to learn Colin's signature style, methodology and technique of blending acrylics on canvas, you will find a lot of value in these workshops.
 
Colin and Katherine, the owners of The Hidden Gallery will be your hosts, and are happy to share their secrets, and tricks of the trade from building frames, to clear coating the final product, and everything in between.
 
Colin has developed a progressive form of Art Therapy by channeling his creativity onto the canvas in a bold and uninhibited way. He focuses on creating attractive works of art that raise one's vibration, as well as aid in mental, physical and emotional healing.
 
During the class, participants are encouraged to collaborate with Colin to creating something beautiful.
These classes are a great form of stress relief and artistic expression, and serve to unite local creatives in a positive and interactive way.
 
・You will be provided with a high-quality 16” x 20” archival acid-free cotton canvas, pre-primed with a titanium acrylic gesso.
・You will receive a fresh pallet, and will have access to our complete collection of Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paint. We have every colour available for you to use, and then some.
・Paint brushes are provided. We have a large variety available but feel free to bring your own supplies if you want, although it is not necessary.
 
In this class, we will cover the following processes:
1. Subject matter & sketching out your plan.
2. Prepping your canvas.
3. Signature placement.
Plus so much more!
 
Come with a plan or work with the artist to develop and create something special.
